COLLEGES
The College of Arts and Cultural Studies offers an undergraduate curriculum which encompasses significant areas of liberal arts knowledge—fine arts, humanities, languages and literature. The College of Arts and Cultural Studies houses the academic departments of Communication and Media, History, Humanities & Government, English & Modern Languages, Music, and Theatre, Dance & Visual Arts.
We consider our alumni's accomplishments the greatest evidence of our school's effectiveness:
- Our graduates are employed by ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, FOX and CBN networks.
- Alumnus Jim Stovall is the founder and CEO of the Emmy-Award winning Narrative Television network that provides voice narration to media serving 13 million blind and visually impaired persons in the United States.
- Alumnus Clifton Taulbert wrote The Last Train North and Once Upon a Time When We Were Colored, which was named to the New York Times bestseller list and was made into a major motion picture.
- Alumnus Dennis Johnson served as Director of the UCLA Language Resources Program, an operation that trained teachers at the prestigious graduate school's Academy of Social Science in Beijing, China.
- 90 percent of the department's graduates who apply to law school are accepted.
- One of our recent French language students was hired by the CIA.
- Professor Donald Ryan, also an alumnus, is an internationally acclaimed pianist who was a Madeyska Award recipient in the Chopin Competition. He is a Steinway Artist.
- Graduates with minors in Modern Hebrew have been accepted in graduate programs at the Hebrew University and Tel Aviv University in Israel

Our faculty includes professors who are not only outstanding teachers but also experienced as company presidents, international marketing executives, CPAs and entrepreneurs.
Our small classes allow you to receive one-on-one attention from your business professors that is simply not available in most programs of this stature. In addition, you'll have opportunities to participate in activities such as Enactus (formerly Students in Free Enterprise/SIFE), which encourages students to put their business skills to work on local, regional and national projects and compete for national recognition.

Our business graduates are well respected in the industry. Several of the recently graduated classes ranked in the 95th percentile on the National Field Test that determines whether students know what they should when they have completed their undergraduate business program.
ORU's College of Business is accredited at both the baccalaureate and graduate level by the ACBSP. The ACBSP specialized accreditation only applies to programs offered by the College of Business and does not extend to other programs that utilize names like Administration, Leadership and Management offered specifically under the basic Higher Learning Commission accreditation of the University.

Oral Roberts University College of Education: Sending Forth Transformed Educators Ready to Make a Difference
According to the National Center for Educational Statistics, America's schools will need at least 2 million additional teachers in the next 10 years. As a student in ORU's College of Education, you will be well prepared to help meet this challenge. Our school is committed to helping you become not only an exceptional teacher, but also a professional with a highly developed Christian worldview.
The ORU education program has earned the highest level of NCATE accreditation. Our whole person assessment program documents your progress while you are working toward teacher certification is one reason the accreditors - and school districts - hold the ORU education program in such high regard. We also have a record of 100 percent passage of the three teacher placement tests required in Oklahoma. It is no surprise that nearly 100 percent of our graduates find employment in public, private or Christian school immediately after graduation.

Exploring God's Creation from a Scientific Perspective
The ORU College of Science and Engineering encompasses five departments including Behavioral Science, Biology and Chemistry, Computing and Mathematics, Engineering, and Health Physical Education and Recreation. Through its own unique approach, each department gives you the opportunity to discover God's natural world and thereby enlarge your Christian worldview. Rarely will you find such an opportunity to receive a Christ-centered education in areas often considered difficult degree areas while surrounded by such cooperative, caring and intellectually inquisitive students and faculty.Interesting facts about the College of Science and Engineering include:- Over the past 10 years, we have had an overall acceptance rate into medical schools of 68% compared to the national acceptance rate last year of 45%. Our students with a GPA of 3.6+ had an acceptance rate of 86%, and the acceptance rate of our honor students was an impressive 99%. Our graduates have attended over 80 medical schools.
- You'll be taught by professors who are exceptional scholars and dedicated classroom teachers. All are recognized for academic excellence and have experience working in the field. Many have active research projects underway.

Those who feel called by God to Christian service will find a welcoming academic home within the College of Theology and Ministry. When you enroll in our graduate program, you will be part of a seminary recognized for the highest academic standards by our accreditation from the Association of Theological Schools (ATS). This assures you of an education that is academically challenging and a degree that is well respected across denominations and by other universities.
